Jarek Twardowski learned to fly at the Aeroclub of Warsaw in 1979.
After emigrating to Greece and finally to Canada he re-started his flying hobby and has become an active participant of the gliding community in Toronto, and Ottawa where he currently resides.
For past few years Jarek has taken on the role of Canadian Team Manager for World Championships as well as the Pan-American competitions.
Between various events he works at TELUS, one of the main telecommunication companies in Canada as senior engineer responsible for the most complex networking projects.
His home airport is Gatineau Gliding Club where he serves as a board member and chief tow pilot.
